As the owner of RentMasters, I personally sign management agreements, know every flat we look after and oversee its management throughout our work together. My involvement goes beyond the first conversation. I remain engaged when a tenancy becomes part of everyday life.
I run a small business with a stable team. For a property owner, that means much more than the number of people shown on an About Us page.
You sign with a company. You work with people you know
A management offer can describe the scope of service, settlements and terms. It is harder to put into writing whether the person at the other end will know your flat, remember earlier agreements and let you get straight to the matter at hand without explaining its entire history again.
At RentMasters, the personal nature of our work comes from how the company is organised. You know the people looking after your property. We do not have to learn about it again with every phone call.
Knowledge that stays with the property
A flat has a history even when its tenants change: earlier agreements, completed work, furnishing decisions and plans for the future.
In our stable team, that knowledge remains part of our daily work. It is more than a fault, its solution and a recommendation recorded in a system. It is also the experience of the people who have looked after that particular flat.
My involvement continues after we sign
I would not want an owner to get to know me while discussing our work together, then feel that the person they trusted had disappeared from the process.
That is why I know every flat we manage and supervise its care. My involvement is neither an extra reserved for selected clients nor something that begins only when a difficult situation arises.
Personal oversight does not mean doing everything alone. We handle the daily work as a team. Running a small business does not mean fitting all its tasks into one person’s workload.
My role as the business owner is to keep sight of each property and the quality of our relationship with its owner. I want to know how the management is going for the properties whose agreements I have signed.
Behind the RentMasters name is more than an offer. There are people you know and my personal commitment.
A small company
We do not expect owners to learn our tools or become rental managers. The result of our work should be the confidence that their flat is in the hands of people who know it and understand what they are responsible for.
